“Service Above Self” is the motto of the Angelina Rotary Club and we strive to uphold that in everything we do. The first Thursday of the month, members of our club read to students at Dunbar Primary, engaging in one of Rotary International’s key focuses: Literacy. The fourth Thursday of every month, we will meet at various organizations around the community. This may be meeting at the Christian Information Services Center to pack food for underprivileged children to take home on the weekends, or to stuff bags for Bags of Love to provide for children in foster care, or Adopting-A-Family through Buckner Services. We will alternate these service projects every month. The second and third Thursdays of each month, we meet at The Silo and hear from a speaker involved in our community with their organization.
